Non-Compliance Letters on the Way

Hospices who have failed to adhere to Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) will be receiving letters via the CASPER/QIES system starting July 9th. If you receive such a letter, your reimbursement for this coming fiscal year will be affected.

Your agency is determined to be out of compliance should you not submit your Hospice Item Set (HIS) and CHAPS data to CMS.  A 2% reduction in the annual payment update (APU) will also be levied against your agency should you not be in compliance with regulations.

Hospices have until August 7, 2018 at 11:59 PST to request a reconsideration from CMS. To submit your request, you will need to email: HospiceQRPReconsiderations@cms.hhs.gov.
