Medicare Advanced and Accelerated Loan Repayments Have Been Delayed!

Congress has passed the Under the new “Continuing Appropriations Act” of 2021 and the “Other Extensions Act.” Thanks to these new laws, repayment of your Medicare advanced or accelerated loan has been delayed until one year after the original payment date.

Please note that, as of October 8, 2020, CMS will no longer accept applications for accelerated or advance payments as they relate to the COVID-19 PHE, although CMS will continue to monitor the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on the Medicare provider and supplier community.

Providers still need to be mindful of all documentation and reporting requirements. Don’t become complacent because the repayment deadline has been extended.
