OVERTIME RULE BLOCKED!

Agencies and providers are receiving an early holiday gift this year! The ruling has just been released.

The DOL’s overtime rule which was to go into effect on December 1st has been blocked. A judge in Texas blocked the implementation and enforcement of the rule which was supposed to begin next month.

As it now stands, the new rules for overtime and how overtime is required to be paid have been put on hold. Agencies should continue to use the prior guidance which allows aides and staff to work over 40 hours without overtime pay.

We will be providing more information as it becomes available.
