Lyft Becomes a Medicaid Provider

Lyft is now an enrolled Medicaid provider in Arizona. The company is taking advantage of new Arizona regulations for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). Ride-hailing companies may drive Medicaid members who do not require personal assistance during medically necessary transportation.

Lyft is among the ever-increasing list of non-healthcare providers seeking to take advantage of CMS’ new focus on addressing the social determinants of health. Uber, Lyft’s largest competitor, has made moves to break into healthcare as well.
